Prayer of Praise to the Ancient Ones

I think now of the ancient times, when your worship first was established.
It has been a long time now since your worship was celebrated as it should be,
with processions in the market places, with games to unite the scattered tribes,
with hospitality granted to strangers in your name.
Throughout the lonely times, you have waited patiently, in the sure foreknowledge that the night would end.
See now, on the horizon; the light of dawn begins to creep over the edge of the world!
We need not wait much longer before the Sun will rise again and shine down once more on a world in which your worship is no longer neglected.
