Ease Muscle Cramps and Relax the Body


  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon dried valerian root
  • Sugar, honey or other sweetener

To combat internal muscle cramps, as well as relaxing your body all over, prepare a cup of valerian root tea.

To do this, boil approximately 1 cup of water and remove from the heat. Then, add one teaspoon of dried Valerian Root into the water. Cover the pot, and let sit for about 15 minutes. Strain the tea, and discard the used herbs. Sweeten your tea with honey or sugar to your preference.

Please Note: If you have cats or dogs, use caution when preparing and drinking this tea, as they both are strongly drawn to the smell of valerian. You should not let your pets digest this tea. This tea should also be avoided by babies, children, and pregnant or nursing women. This is a very strongly scented, and powerful herb, for which Valium has its origins.
