Ring the bell once, followed by the Guardian of the East stating: "We call you East
By the power of the Waxing Moon,
Her crescent shape
Bringing the promise of growth.
Come and be here now!
Blessed be!"

Ring the bell once, followed by the Guardian of the South stating: "We call you South
By the power of the Full Moon,
Her brightness
Glowing with abundance.
Come and be here now!
Blessed be!"

Ring the bell once, followed by the Guardian of the West stating: "We call you West
By the power of the Waning Moon,
Her decline
Bringing cleansing and release.
Come and be here now!
Blessed be!"

Ring the bell once, followed by the Guardian of the North stating: "We call you North
By the power of the New Moon
Her darkness
A time for rest and renewal.
Come and be here now!
Blessed be!"

Everyone takes up one of the cornbread muffins, and offers up to the God and Goddess.

EbonyDoe: "Blessed be the Harvest,
Blessed be the Corn Mother,
Blessed be the Grain God,
For together they nourish both body and soul.
Many blessings we have been given,
We count them now by this bread."

Taking turns, each member names all the things that they are currently grateful for. With each item that they name, break off a piece of the muffin and eat it. Sip from the chalice filled with apple cider as well.

When finished with list of blessings, Mana takes the a small handful of the grain from her altar and holds it in her open hand at face level.

EbonyDoe: "Guardian of the East, we pray for your indulgence. Hear us now as we request your aid in the cycle of life. As your winds blow through fields of ripened grain, carry loosened seeds upon your back that they may fall amidst the soil that is our Mother Earth. She will cover them in times of storm, protecting and nourishing them until they sprout next Spring, beginning life anew."

Mana blows gently across her hand as if imitating the wind taking the seeds air-born.

Mana: "We give thanks to the Great Mother, Goddess of fertile land, and to the Great Father, Consort and Provider, for as their bounty sustains our lives. So does their bounty sustain our brethren; all living creatures of wood and field, of lake and stream, and of air. Of these blessings we partake and share. Blessed be this Harvest Night, The Givers and the gift."

EbonyDoe: "All things have their season. Again the wheel has turned and brought us to the season of the First Harvest. A time when we think about sacrifices and reborn hope, a time when we reflect on what we have sown by what we reap, a time when we gather our memories, and from those lessons that we have learned, we plan for the future. Blessed Be our Mother, whose womb contains and bears all life. Blessed Be our Father, whose seed plants all life. Blessed Be the Two that are One, from Them life flows and flows back again."

Guardian of the East: “We thank you East!
We thank you, Spirits of Air
For your presence here tonight.
Walk with us always
As you dance the cycles of life.
Blessed Be!”

Guardian of the South: “We thank you South!
We thank you, Spirits of Fire
For your presence here tonight.
Walk with us always
As you dance the cycles of life.
Blessed Be!”

Guardian of the West: “We thank you West!
We thank you, Spirits of Water
For your presence here tonight.
Walk with us always
As you dance the cycles of life.
Blessed Be!”

Guardian of the North: “We thank you North!
We thank you, Spirits of Earth
For your presence here tonight.
Walk with us always
As you dance the cycles of life.
Blessed Be!”
